Testimony of Bro. Daniel Volvricht

I’ll like to start by telling everyone a bit about my background, I’ve been brought up in a Christian home and gone to church my whole life, but it has only been the last few years, since coming to Hope Bible Presbyterian Church, that I have become more active in church activities and also learnt more and grown spiritually stronger.

I guess for me there was not really a specific time in my life that I knew I was saved, because my parents have brought me up wonderfully in the Christian way and they have taught me the right and wrong things to behave as a Christian. Even though I was brought up in a Christian home I never used to pay attention to my parents or even to my pastor. I just used to sit there and daydream in church service. Honestly, I didn’t even enjoy going to church. Looking back now, I realized how silly I was as I have missed out on so much of God’s teaching.

I would like to thank God for opening my eyes, as it is such a wonderful and glorious thing to know him, and know what his son Jesus Christ did by dying on the cross to take away my sins. Also, I like to thank God for bringing me and my family to Hope Bible Presbyterian Church. It has really been a real blessing to come here and meet such loving Christian people. This church is actually the first church I have been to where there are some young people. I believe that it has helped me become a stronger Christian, and a lot more confident to stand up and tell my non-Christian friends I can’t do certain things because I believe it is wrong now.

God has transformed my life, in the way I view things of the world. The things I believe have changed my life as I have become more aware how sinful as humans we actually are. God has given me the faith and strength to proclaim to the world that I am Christian and I no longer fear to tell non-Christian friends about my faith

I would like to leave you with two passages in the Bible that have been uplifting to me and probably to many others out there. They are Psalm 117 and Isaiah 40:30.

Psalm 117 is actually the first memory verse that I learnt, as I never attended Sunday School when I was young.

Psalm 117
“ O praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord”

The other one is a well known verse in the Bible, as it is a very powerful verse.

Isaiah 40:31
“ But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength ; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk; and not faint.” Amen.

I just like to praise and thank God for the things that he has done and how he has changed my life. Also, I would like to thank God again for the many dear Christian friends that I have made, and also for upholding and teaching the Word of God.

More Lively Hope
